IOI TRAINING: REGISTRATION FOR VIENNA TRAINING IN SEPTEMBER IS OPEN NOW

Following two IOI editions of the successful “Sharpening Your Teeth” training programme, the IOI is organizing a new training session which will take place from 16 to 19 September 2012 in Vienna, Austria. Course registration will run from 20 April 2012 to 20 June 2012. Since IOI courses are filling up extremely fast, you are encouraged to sign up at your earliest convienience.

CURAÇAO: SECOND INTERNATIONAL OMBUDSMAN CONFERENCE

Several representatives of IOI member institutions will participate in the 2nd Curaçao International Ombudsman Conference held from 4 to 8 June 2012 in Curaçao. It is organized by the Office of the Ombudsman of Curaçao and the Caribbean International University in cooperation with the Institute of Latin-American Ombudsman and the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Argentina, Province Santa Fé.

FRA: EUROPEAN LGBT SURVEY LAUNCHED

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) has launched the first ever online EU-wide survey to establish an accurate picture of the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people (18 years or older) that will try to capture their experiences.

HUNGARY: COMMISSIONER FOR FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS FILES TWO PETITIONS TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT

The Commissioner for Fundamental Rights in Hungary filed a petition addressing the provisions concerning the confinement and detention of juvenile offenders as well as a government decree regulating student contracts.
